HAGON 2820 Roadshock Hydraulic Adjustable
The 2820 adjustable shock absorbers are high-quality dampers where both spring preload and compression-rebound damping are adjustable. This is a true upgrade compared to the standard Roadshock series, perfect for riders who enjoy fine-tuning. Thanks to their progressive damping, these shock absorbers offer an excellent balance between comfort and control.
With the easily accessible adjustment screw, you can quickly adjust the damping. This allows you to control both compression and rebound damping in one motion, so you can precisely set how quickly the shock absorber compresses and rebounds.
Additionally, the dampers feature a 3-position spring preload, which is easily adjustable via a shielded cam adjustment. This allows you to adapt the suspension to your riding style, load, or riding conditions.
Technical operation of the HAGON 2820 Roadshock Hydraulically adjustable:
- Emulsion system: oil and gas (nitrogen) are in one chamber. This means they contain fewer components, making them simple and reliable. The emulsion system has fewer wear points and is less susceptible to leaks and pressure losses. Ideal for street use where consistency is important.
- Progressive springs: the spring rate increases as the shock is further compressed. This ensures comfort over small bumps and firmness for large impacts.
- Adjustable preload: a collar allows you to adjust the initial compression of the spring, tailoring the response to weight and riding style.
HAGON has been manufacturing shock absorbers since 1958, giving us extensive information on over 2200 different motorcycle models. Each shock absorber is different; length, weight, rake angle, and mounting bushings are just some of the factors to consider. We are happy to explain the variable factors below:
Length of the shock absorbers. We have the original length measurements of the shock absorbers originally fitted to your motorcycle. Our dimensions and the corresponding travel can be seen in the table below. If you want longer or shorter shock absorbers, it is possible with us, free of charge, please contact us for this.

For each length, we have 5 types of dampers and 12 types of spring rates. This is always a combination between these two variables and needs to be coordinated. A universal damper with varying spring rates is, in our opinion, not possible.
Thanks to HAGON's years of expertise in shock absorbers, we know what should be fitted as standard to your model. If you are heavier/lighter or frequently ride with luggage and/or a pillion passenger, we will adjust your damper type and spring tension accordingly.

All spring rates are available with a black spring, chrome spring, a narrow spring (SS, approximately 53mm wide) and a wide spring (SA, approximately 61mm wide). Technically, these types of springs all perform the same function; they are all progressive.
Now that we have determined the length, damper type, and spring rate, all that remains is to install the correct mounting bushings. We also have the data for your motorcycle. If you are doing a custom build, we can often install the correct type. The variants we know are as follows:

COVERS
Covers are an addition to the shock absorbers to create certain looks. The covers are a cosmetic addition, separate from the technical quality of the shock absorber.
